Community Scholarship AwardSaturday, May 20, 2023, SWDCA awarded fifteen high school seniors a total of $29,000 in scholarships. Whether they attend community colleges, Ivies, or HBCUs, we know these young people are destined for greatness.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Southwest Dallas County Alumnae Chapter (SWDCA), awards scholarships to African American males and females in our service area. Since we have been in the community, our chapter has awarded in excess of $70,000 in scholarships to local high school students. Torch of Wisdom Scholarship – awarded to African American female students for college expenses. Beacon of Knowledge Scholarship – awarded to African American male students for college expenses. |

SWDCA 2026 Scholarship Program for African-American high school Seniors who reside or attend schools in Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Duncanville, Lancaster, Red Oak, or Wilmer-Hutchins. Applicants may also be current participants in SWDCA Youth Initiatives.
